Promptcraft- smart hackathon

Submissions are evaluated on the following weighted criteria:

Submissions will be evaluated using a comprehensive weighted rubric that balances creativity with technical rigor and real-world viability. The most significant criterion, Innovation & Originality, accounts for 25% of the total score, rewarding novel approaches and unique problem-solving. Following closely, both Prompt Engineering Quality and Technical Execution are weighted equally at 20% each, emphasizing the importance of precise AI interaction and robust, functional implementation. User Experience & Design and Social Impact & Feasibility each carry a 15% weighting, ensuring that solutions are not only intuitive and accessible but also practical and capable of driving meaningful change in real-world contexts. Finally, while still important, Presentation & Clarity rounds out the evaluation with a 5% weighting, serving as the finishing touch that ensures the project’s vision and methodology are communicated effectively to the judges. 

Prizes:

• First Place – ₹1,00,000 + Mentorship + Goodies
• Second Place – ₹50,000 + Goodies
• Third Place – ₹25,000 + Goodies
• Special  Category Awards (Best Prompt Design, Best Social Impact, People’s Choice)      – ₹10,000 each.

ESTEEMED PANEL MEMBERS

Our panel comprises AI researchers, industry veterans, and startup founders who will evaluate and mentor participants.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PANEL SELECTION

Eligibility to serve as a panel member:

• Minimum  5 years of experience in AI/ML, software development, or product management.
• Demonstrated expertise in prompt engineering or generative AI (publications, projects,      or industry work).
• No direct affiliation with any registered team.
• Must be available for the entire evaluation window and the live finale.

Selection process:

• The organising committee shortlists candidates based on their profile and      domain knowledge.
• A background check is conducted to ensure impartiality.
• Final approval is given by the advisory board.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF PANEL MEMBERS

• Review all submissions impartially and within the given timeline.
• Provide constructive feedback – written comments on each team’s strengths and areas for improvement.
• Attend the live finale and ask relevant questions to finalists.
• Adhere  to the scoring matrix and maintain confidentiality of scores  until the public announcement.
• Declare any conflict of interest (e.g., former student, relative) and  recuse from judging that specific team.
• Participate  in mentorship sessions during the hacking phase (optional but encouraged).

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS

• Team      composition: 2–4 members; all must be current students (undergraduate or postgraduate) of any recognised institution. Cross‑college teams are allowed.
• One team per participant – you cannot be part of multiple teams.
• All code and assets must be original or properly attributed (open‑source      libraries allowed).
• API usage: You may use provided API keys (limited credits) or your own.
• Submission deadline is strict – late entries will be disqualified.
• Demo video must be unedited and show the working prototype.
• Plagiarism or use of pre‑built solutions (outside of general frameworks) will lead to      immediate disqualification.
• Communication will  happen via the official Discord/Slack channel – all participants must join.
• Code of conduct: Be respectful, collaborative, and inclusive. Any harassment or unethical behaviour will result in removal.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

• Participation      is free – no registration fee.
• Language: All  submissions and presentations must be in English.
• Intellectual Property: Participants retain full ownership of their projects. The organisers may request a non‑exclusive right to feature the project in  promotional material.
• Tech Stack: No restrictions – you can use any programming language, framework, or AI platform. We recommend using open‑source APIs.
• Support: Dedicated mentors will be available throughout the hackathon on the communication platform.
• Internet Connectivity: Participants are responsible for their own internet      and hardware.
• Code of Conduct: All attendees (participants, mentors, judges, organisers) must adhere to our code of conduct, which promotes a safe and welcoming environment.
• Changes: The organising committee reserves the right to modify these rules in case of      unforeseen circumstances; all changes will be communicated promptly.
